Been skiing a mix of on- and off- piste. Lots of snow forecast for tonight and tomorrow, so hopefully it won't be cut up crud off-piste.
Looking at doing some tours next week.
Genepy run.
Double M run.
Grattalu run.

Looking pretty good Ecowain. Nice transitions and your weighting that back foot a lot better than you used too.
Try to roll your shoulders further forward into a more athletic position rather than skiing so upright. Hand position is good but if you can push them a bit further forward you will be better balanced.
Transitions are nice and smooth now, good stuff. See if you can improve them by keeping constant pressure on your skis. You loose pressure in your transitions and then first put pressure on the front ski, then the back ski. Two things to try.
1. Concentrate on pressuring the old front foot and pulling it backwards in the transition as it becomes the new rear foot. More monomarks will help this.
2. Try to imagine your skiing in a shoulder height tunnel, if you pop up in your tranitions you will hit your head! So you have to extend your legs during the turn and retract them during the transitions to make sure your head does not pop up. To learn this you really need to exaggerate the retraction. When you get this right you will be able to maintain constant pressure on your skis throughout the turn.
Make a few turns for me you bastard!
well, see my pics on facebook after a day skiing 40cm overnight powder. It went well, really well, skiing off-piste fresh pow almost all day, until using a piste to get home. Poor vis, and an out-of-control barrelling skier whacked me from behind. 7 stitches and a very sore head. No skiing tomorrow :-(
