12th of June Report

Wow,..

Ecowain is still up there and Hydrophilica and I only had a couple of hours of turning due to work at home, but this morning was great, no people, a few cms of natural fresh and fresh man made at a nice crisp temperature of -4c. Sadly no photos since I forgot my stills camera but everyone made little ability improvments and we all hade big smiles on our faces. I can't remember a better time skiing only front valley!

Sounds great T7. It must be nice and cold up there, I see they're still running the snowguns. Would have been great with no other buggers on the hill...

Conditions good today. Skied the morning with t7 and hp, then kept doing runs. Snowguns ran all day, max of 1 degree at the bottom, and max of -3 at the top of the v8.

A bit before lunch I decided to play with waxes again (still working them out), and skied up to the top of the quad chair, had lunch then skied back down. Pretty crusty, but some good bits, and skiable all the way if you held your breath in places.

Snowing pretty heavily in the carpark when I left... Let's see how it is tomorrow morning.

Hey this might even work after a couple of weeks of stogling around with passwords.

So which lifts are working? Any other runs open?

Thundercat you should have stayed, it was great. Skifree, good to see your getting past the password problems. Only Front valley was open, but they've been snowmaking like crazy at Blue Cow. I'd bet early starter and Zali's will be open next weekend.

13th of june report:

All of front valley was skiable yesterday, and until 10am there were only about 10 people on the hill! Maybe 30 runs of front valley done by 11.30am, including 10 lovely spooned tracks down the "other" side of front valley. Looked nice seeing them as I went back up the v8 each time... D*!n snowboarders wrecked them by about 11am. My transitions, right hand, and end were all progressing nicely as the day went on.

Still a fair way to go on other runs, but as t7 said, blue cow starting to get there , and should be open soon.

Club Hocking running well, only advice is to guard your socks jealously from the little ones.

Snow in Katoomba today!

Thanks for that update ecowain :-) - yep, cold, snow and even water spouts here off the beach!. Can't wait to hoon down Zali's run - end of June/early July looking good.

Yep, looking forward to getting down there this weekend. Are you going to be about on the weekend Owain?

Rick, I'm thinking a trip to Rhythm may be on the cards.

Dan, I'm working this weekend in the blueys. Won't be heading down again until about 2nd of july.
