- A fat, floaty, big mountain ski of sorts. Something that will work quite nicely in the deeper snow over in NZ, or going down the chutes at club lake. Current suggestions around this are something like a Dynastar Legend XXL or something from the Kingswood range.
- A twin tippy ski that's suitable for general mucking around in the park and pipe, possibly something that's fairly comfortable going sideways at speed.

What skis should Dan get?
Ok, so I'm thinking that it is finally time to add another set of skis or two to my collection. Current thoughts are that the next two sets of skis to get should be:

Sounds like Option 1. might be for you, a set of skis with a little more performance - would be awesome for NZ snow conditions in the Club Fields ...your current set of skis might just suffice for what you plan to do under Option 2., all that general mucking about :-)
I think Dan has enough skies. he should spend the money on something constructive,... no NOT toy helicopters. :P
But with me around the toy Helicopters become destructive!
Just like a certain someone I know, who almost destructed the coffee table legs while flying those things indoors! ;-p
Anyway, I think Dan wants skis regardless ;-)

Well I might as well weigh in. for 1. XXLs just look so $$$. Go big or go home skis. Hellbents look intriging, sidecut ski with some reverse camber, worth a try I think. Kingswoods are sexy in the flesh too. Just buy 100mm plus in the least.
For 2. Any 80 - 90mm twin. I'd lean to the 80mm side if it was to be a quiver of 2. but with your current boards in the quiver I think I'd go for something more like 90mm.
We should visit Rythm together. Some good stuff in there.

Yes, but has it made his choice any easier? Methinks there are too many options.
Mind you the Kingswoods sound pretty cool, as do the Legend pros. I reckon the XXLs may be a tad more ski than required, but that's just conservative old me, T7 will tell you different....
Cool Dan do you want these ski's for aus BC or resort. I agree with Chris that much more than 90mm in Australian BC conditions can get to be a real pain. If you only want a pow ski, I would go eithe the XXL just for being such a massive beast of a ski. The Kingswood fats, or the Goliath over the Gotamas. Chris has Gotamas already and the Goliatih has more taper, so less nosediving in fluf.
That way the twinnies could be the BC ski.

The Pro is rumoured to be difficult in deep fresh snow as it has a very stiff shovel. The XXL is rumoured to have a shovel soft enough, and more surface area to solve this problem.
Having given this much thoughtful consideration... in my expert opinion I would have to recommend... that... it has to come down to the one with the best graphics and of cause bindings to match!
